Boardmasters 2014

August 11, 2014

Every year the Boardmasters surf and music festival is held in my home town of Newquay. I went to the first and second one and then moved away so this year’s festival was the first since I moved back. I headed down on the first day to check it out, it was sunny and not as busy as it would have gotten over the weekend. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend the music festival so missed out on Snoop Dogg, Wilkinson, Ben Pearce, Stanton Warriors and Raleigh Ritchie, altho the festival had to be shut down on the last day due to Hurricane Bertha’s strong winds blowing away the main stage and making it unsafe for people to attend!

In the shopping village on Fistral beach I discovered some great independent brands namely Howl London (need their Stay Inspired T!) and Ego Trip Apparel.

Beautiful wooden surf boards inside the Beach Bar from Driftwood.

Sipping cider in the sunshine while watching the surf comp? Why not!

Just a short little trip to Boardmasters this year, awesome to see so many cool indie brands, sadly missed out on the music this year but maybe next year will be better planned! Did you got to Boardmasters this year? Did your tent survive the hurricane??
