My Pick of the ASOS Sale Dresses

April 10, 2015

ASOS are having a massive sale, so I trawled through all 4900+ dresses in their latest sale to present you with my picks. It took a while… I’m sure it would have helped if I had sorted out the petite, pregnant and plus size dresses but by the time I realised that, I was 5 of 25 pages deep so it was too late!

I’ve divided them into price range, under £20, under £50, under £100 so that you can search for them easier than scrolling endlessly like I did!

Snoop Inside My Closet

April 8, 2015

My closet is actually an open rail and I like it that way, it’s kind of like an art piece in my bedroom because there are so many clashing colours and patterns hanging there.

However, to be honest, I live in comfy trousers and a jumper given that I don’t need to leave the house all that often (and don’t really fit into any of my clothes right now) so my clothes spend their time being an art piece in my home rather than actually being warn.

I thought I’d give them some air and display my favourite pieces in my wardrobe, maybe figure out how I could wear it all given that nothing seems to match!

OOTD: The Cat’s Pajamas

April 1, 2015

March Outfit of the Month

I would never normally choose to buy or wear a jumpsuit but when I saw this hanging in H&M, it caught my eye and I had to check it out. I really like the print and that it’s low cut in the front, which you can wear fastened up or loose. I actually bought it because a friend had invited me to a hot and sweaty club night in London and I knew I wanted something that would look cool but also be comfortable and cover me in the right places.  Continue Reading…

Punky Pins – Funky Rockabilly Accessories

October 14, 2014

I was absolutely delighted when Punky Pins contacted me to collaborate because their stuff is way cool. I have seen so much of the same old same old stuff when it comes to rockabilly accessories but Punky Pins keeps it fresh. They asked me to choose some items I love and it was so. hard. Seriously, can I haz everything??

In the end I went for this awesome custom necklace using my hashtag for #selfmadedame so I can rep my tribe of Self Made Dames wherever I go.

Even though I was told to make sure I keep my custom hashtag necklace in it’s pretty box as it may be fragile, it actually feels quite solid. I love the little Punky Pins tag at the clasp too.

I also chose these cute hair grips to fancy up my victory rolls when I do them – I keep mine flat on my head so these pins will look so pretty. The grips themselves are solid quality too.

And I struggled, but I eventually settled on this totally cute rockabilly compact mirror but really, I wanted them all!

If you’re looking for a unique custom necklace, Punky Pins has a fantastic variety of styles to choose from. I plumped for the hashtag necklace but I also like the Twitter name necklace. Everything is hand made in the Punky Pins office and I will definitely be Christmas shopping with them this year. They also have a great selection of Halloween themed jewellery to choose from, really they’ve got all your alternative fashion bases covered!

NYFW Edgy Street Style Inspiration

September 12, 2014

When I saw this New York Fashion Week edgy street style shot on The Everygirl I jumped for joy. This is EXACTLY the kind of outfit I would wear. I love that it is edgy but still smart and sexy – casual and cool.

Of course I don’t have the same bank balance as the fabulous ladies who attend fashion week so I scoured the web to put this outfit together in a way I can afford and it wasn’t hard! I already had the Guns and Roses tank top on my New Look wishlist, I’m pretty sure I already own a red pencil skirt, these shades are dead cheap and totally sassy and the addition of a folder over bag and some strappy heels finishes the look off perfectly!
