spare cats

As usual I have a bumper issue of interesting things I found on the web this week. Personally, I spent the entire week listening to podcasts, attending webinars, downloading free resources from leaders in business and digital marketing and writing drafts for the new things I will be launching in the coming weeks. It feels good to have a purpose.

Seriously people. I’m doing more work in my 2-3 hours than you’re doing in you 7-12 hours of pussy footing around online.

My tweet is featured at the end of this video on freelancers. 🙂

When it comes to Anne Hathaway I’m neither here nor there but I love her beautiful example of the lesson she learned as a result of the cyber bullying she has received.

Love this. It’s so important to get away from the computer. Just this morning it came to me that instead of slaving away at the computer trying to build something, I need to spend time away from the work to actually be GIVEN the work that needs to be done, instead of pushing to figure out what it is or create it. Quiet time, let’s it come to you. I get my best ideas when I’m in the bath because I can’t get distracted in there! Also when  I go for a walk in the woodlands or the fields, I do actually use my voice recorder app on my phone!

Wow, so this week has been crazy. I moved into a new (and much smaller) house, so it’s been days of going through everything I own to get rid of most of it so it can all fit into this house, but there is definitely something to be said for getting rid of stuff – it feels great and like I have space to make things grow 🙂 I also attended a last minute Halloween event with my mum which was a riot! I am so looking forward to the coming months, I’m headed in a new direction, creating a new business and I’m super excited about it!

Gorgeous Ghoul Illustration by Samantha Moonstone

This week has been absolutely manic for me. I’ve been looking for a new home and we finally found one on Monday so the entire week has been eaten up by the stress of reference checks and lease signing all in the midst of Mercury Retrograde too! On top of that, I launched my “Hire Me” page as I have bitten the bullet and gone freelance offering an array of online services for those too busy or not too tech savvy that need a helping hand with their online space. So, if you need some stuff doing, get in touch with me! I’m ready 😀

This video is just beautiful! I could watch it over and over. This lady makes fat bottomed engineering fairies and I’m just blown away at her talent and her story and her Yorkshire accent!

Really love this chick’s hair and creativity!

Likers Gonna LikeThis week I moved away from the coast and my friends back to nearby London for business purposes. A little old man also stopped by me in the grocery store to tell me he likes my turquoise hair and that I’m non conformist. He said it brightens up the day and gave me a thumbs up! Rad!

The male-dominated narrative doesn’t have to tell you the truth about whether rape is your fault, or whether you’re allowed to not want children. Nor does it have to tell you the truth about what kinds of things women are good at, about who and how we love, about what qualifies as “beautiful” and what must be done to achieve it.

This is absolutely my kinda salad
