Oh and by the way, the word on the t-shirt in the giveaway, “Tsundere” is a Japanese character development process that describes a person who is initially cold and even hostile towards another person before gradually showing their warm side over time. Which I have been known to be like at times!
Urban Dictionary says: “Tsundere is a slang born on the Internet, and it is a word to describe the nature of female anime or game characters. Tsundere is a word combining two words, “Tsun Tsun” and “Dere Dere”. Both terms describe attitudes of a person. “Tsun Tsun” is used for cold/blunt/curt attitude, while “Dere Dere” is used when a person becomes “spoony” in front of his/her lover. (Definition is from the game ” Tsuyokisu Cool×Sweet “). Therefore, “Tsundere” is a female character who is usually cold, but she becomes spoony on her lover. Or, she is cold to the main character at first, but she becomes lovestruck later.”
And Know Your Meme describes it thus:
“Tsundere (ツンデレ) is a term in anime/manga otaku-moe culture. Its is a character trait given to those whom express alternating feelings of hatred and love for a particular character, often one who is their secret love interest or crush. The usage of tsundere has expanded beyond its literal definition, however, and it now generally describes any character that has alternating hot-cold feelings for another person or group of people, whether those people be of platonic, romantic, or familial relationships. Typical of the tsundere character is that they will stutter and stammer, and often blush in embarrassment, when they are challenged on their feelings or when a particular act of kindness is pointed out.
The word tsundere is a portmantue of the japanese terms tsun-tsun (turning away in disgust) and dere-dere (lovey-dovey feelings).
The term was originally found in bishojo dating sims, and was made popular through the PC adaptation of the visual novel adventure game Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. Since then it has become a popular term within anime culture to define a wide array of characters that display traits, attitudes, behaviors, or actions that exemplify or are similar to the tsundere archetype.”
Good luck, and don’t, fuck it up 😉
