In December I returned to Pulse Light Clinic in London for my second laser tattoo removal session by Picosure.
After just over two months, I went back for my second session. We decided to run the machine a lot slower than the first session which I found more comfortable.
The session was much the same as the first one but the effect was quite different. This time around I was quite red and inflamed around the tattoo for a couple days, but keeping it moisturised helped. I’m not sure if it was because we ran the laser slower this time around or if it’s because the tattoo has previously been lasered. I will ask at my next appointment.
The blue of the stars in the tattoo is dispersing quickest while the black lettering is taking longer. I was told this tattoo should take 4-6 sessions and I have my next session booked in February.
It’s exciting to watch it slowly fade over time as you have to wait at least 8 weeks between sessions to give the body time to metabolise the broken ink and to heal after the laser. I go into much more detail in my post about the first session.
Here’s a before picture compared to six weeks after the second session.
I’m so excited to see what the results will be after the third session!
