OOTD: When in Africa
Ha! I am by no means a fashion blogger but I LURVE me some fashion! Today I felt like showing off this beautiful dress I picked up a few years ago at Primark. I am NOT a long dress or skirt wearing kinda chick but when I saw this dress and felt the fabric, I just couldn’t get it out of my mind so I bought it. I have since only worn it a couple of times but it is becoming a favourite and people are always commenting on it. I love how it makes me look long and slender for days when I want to cover up my size UK 12/14 curves and the funky pattern makes me feel like I am showing off my South African roots. Since I am currently in South Africa, there is no better place to wear it!
I’m no model as you can tell, I always end up goofing around! But I’ve posted before about there being a need for mid size models or medium sized women representation in fashion. I am a UK size 12 or 14 and maybe every now and then I can show you that you can look fab at a size that falls between fashion models and plus size models, the size that seems to get forgotten about despite the fact that the majority of women in the UK are a size 12/14.
In these photos I’m holding this adorable giraffe teddy bear because these photos were shot outside my friend’s baby stuff shop in which I have fallen in love with an array of cute teddy bears! See my favourites below!
Gimme them all!
