We tend to complain about social media robbing us of appreciating life but I see it the opposite way. I guess what it boils down to is following the right people. When you follow uplifting, positive, adventures, creative people, every time you’re on social media, you’re being inspired and learning new things.
The other thing I like is that places I like who use social media properly by posting about their events DURING their events so this is how I ended up the Hawksfield Cornwall and Strong Adolfos Classic Cars and Vintage Motorcycles day.
Just a 20 min drive North of my house on a beautiful warm and sunny day sits Strong Adolfos a roadside cafe that serves excellent locally sourced food and hosts cafe racer gatherings.
On the same complex are various independent businesses, an interior decoration store, a gallery, a food store that will make your pantry cry in shame and now a retro and rare cars and bikes dealership Bespoke Traders.
It was such a delight to be able to jump in the car and and in 20mins be milling around all these gorgeous classic cars and cafe racer bikes. It was my first time seeing cafe racer’s up close and I can tell you, I was sold on getting one for myself!
I have always had a love for custom and vintage cars, the creativity that goes into them just delights me and there was a wonderful display of talent on the forecourt that day.
Fell a little bit in love with this beautiful bike, it’s owner wasn’t too bad looking either haha!
In my early 20’s I would have creamed over this cute little MG convertible, however convertibles are quite impractical in a country where it’s cold and rains most of the time!
Starting them early 😉
As the sun begin to sink lower we were treated to live music from a local musician and I took a look around the shops before grabbing a bite to eat at Strong Adolfos.
A lovely impromptu afternoon thanks to Strong Adolfos posting about the event on their Instagram stories!
Some of these photos are available for sale at my Society6 store.
