Snoop Inside My Closet

April 8, 2015

My closet is actually an open rail and I like it that way, it’s kind of like an art piece in my bedroom because there are so many clashing colours and patterns hanging there.

However, to be honest, I live in comfy trousers and a jumper given that I don’t need to leave the house all that often (and don’t really fit into any of my clothes right now) so my clothes spend their time being an art piece in my home rather than actually being warn.

I thought I’d give them some air and display my favourite pieces in my wardrobe, maybe figure out how I could wear it all given that nothing seems to match!

The dresses. Rad-tastic metallic cropped biker jacket from Nasty Gal I got a couple years ago // Gorgeous satin-look floral pin-up style dress by Lipsy // Leather-look pencil dress that I wear with a feather bolero // Jewel print dress I haven’t had the fortune of wearing yet!

I can’t find it in my heart to get rid of this purple dress. I bought it at a vintage sale for $10 in Perth years ago when I was a lot smaller and wore it to my friend’s wedding. It’s in a satin type material and has tiny stitches all through the material and a sort of fishtail thing down the back of it. I still adore it but I have no idea if I’ll ever fit into it again!

I love this obnoxious Versace style wrap dress. It’s so tacky and I think it’s amazing!

I ADORE this STUNNING fitted red dress. I haven’t worn it out yet and will have to try and fit into it again, but it is simply divine. I’m saving it for a special occasion like a hot date with whoever my dream guy is that is taking forever to find me!

pencil skirts

The pencil skirts. Iron Fist (and is featured in this OOTD), Amazon, H&M and Motel Rocks or Missguided. #BigButtProblems forbid me from wearing them however…

a-line skirts

The A-line skirts. I bought this fun electric blue skirt for a New Years Eve outfit a few years ago and can’t bring myself to get rid of it // I think I got this parrot print skirt from Motel Rocks but it’s too small but because I love the print, I’ve kept it // Current fave, leather-look skirt from H&M // Classic fave, bold coloured paint stripe print skirt (with pockets!) from an H&M sale years ago, this has stood the test of time.

The summer t-shirts (hence the creases, sorry, can’t find the iron as I never need it…). First one is from Stay Lucky, the other two are from Nightcall Brand featuring artwork by Rik Lee.

The rest. Shiny disco pants // growler leggings from Iron Fist // camisoles from H&M. Oh I can’t wait for summer again!

Can you see what I mean about never knowing what to wear!? This isn’t even all of the things I own, just my faves… Nothing matches and I don’t particularly want to look like Carrie from Sex and the City (because to me she often looked like she just rolled around in her closet and left with whatever stuck to her…).

Do you have a favourite from my collection of “art pieces”? 😀
