My mother was recently down to visit me and we took a drive up the A30 to Wadebridge. On the way there we couldn’t miss the enormous red “cafe” sign above Strong Adolfos which reminded me that I had recently followed them on Twitter with the intent to visit them soon. Of course, I am always hungry so any excuse to stop and eat is always taken.
We pulled into the carpark surrounded by new build workshops filled with business including what seemed to be an artist who worked with salvaged materials and stepped up the wooden decking stairs into the spacious cafe.
Mom had this delicious Cornish blue cheese, parma ham and fig salad and I had the chicken laksa, both were specials on the day.
The staff were super friendly, the view over the neighbouring fields really relaxing and the sun was blazing. I will definitely be visiting again!
Strong Adolfos describe themselves as a roadside cafe with roots planted in the art, surf and motorcycle subcultures. They host artist exhibitions, guest chef evenings, wine tastings and every Thursday night is bike night.
