I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was curious what all is required to get setup? I’m assuming having a blog
like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very internet savvy so I’m not
100% certain. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Kudos

Marissa the only thing I pay for on this website is the hosting cost since it is a self hosted WordPress site. Many big bloggers use Google’s free blogger platform so effectively, it can cost nothing to set up a blog. However, you want it to look as professional as possible. Luckily all platforms come with some great themes but I tweak mine. My header was a gift from an artist and I just changed the font in the code which I got from Google fonts. Other than that, It doesn’t cost me anything to run. What does cost me money is going to events to blog about which I dont yet get paid to do. In fact I dont make any money from this blog at all, I just do it for the love of it. There is an extensive resource of how to set up and run a successful blog on the internet, you just need to Google it. You can also pay for the knowledge but I think the only I have paid for in terms of learning to be a better blogger is Gala Darling’s chapter on it, check out her site galadarling.com. Basically, I just learn from the best, I see how they operate and emulate that in my own style. I am constantly learning, I read ProBlogger and CopyBlogger and SuccessfulBlogging. It just takes some research. Sign up to Googles Blogspot/Blogger and you’re away. As I said, most of the big name bloggers use this platform and its free. Oh apart from buying your domain name, which can cost less than 10 bucks, you must have your own domain name to be taken seriously.
Good luck!
