What? This Old Thing? It’s Just Something I Threw On.

I have been dieing to put these two edgy party outfits together and cannot for the life of me decide which to wear to my birthday dinner this weekend altho I am leaning towards the prom like dress more and more.  Luckily I have two events to attend so I get to wear both outfits!

I also wanted to show off these outfits because I am a UK size 14 and since I was talking about the lack of representation for mid sized women in fashion, I’m doing my bit to fill that gap.

Party Outfit Number 1:  Biker Dame Goes To The Prom.

The dress is a little bit big on my boobs but I like how it hides my big tummy :) It has a mesh petticoat under the top layer to give it that poofy effect. I feel so girly in this outfit!  I couldn’t find those exact tights on Amazon where I got them, but these are pretty amazing too: Fiore Apriel Patterned Backseam Tights.  I got that awesome metallic blue biker jacket in the Nasty Gal sale for like £14 (down from £55!) and I am so going to love wearing it in the spring.  Unfortunately it is out of stock, but the metallic biker jacket look is in and can be found elsewhere.  Here’s a darker blue one from Motel Rocks although its £65. Missguided have a rose gold metallic biker jacket for £37.99.

Party Outfit Number 2 – The Don’t Mess With This Dame.

Dress, Missguided | Feather Collar, Peacocks | Tights & Shoes as before.

It’s a pity you can’t see the green in the feathers in these pictures, but I realised after I took these photos that the camera was set too low.  I’m finding that leather look dresses are tight over the boobs even at a size 14, this dress is tight over my B cups, so if ya have boobage, you might want to keep that in mind.

If I do another “fashion shoot” I will remove the lamps on my room divider because I now see that they are distracting!  Actually, I went a bit nutso in the sales and picked up a few rad pieces, so perhaps I will do some more fashion posts in the future.  I just don’t want to be labeled a fashion blogger, because there is so much more to life than clothes.

Right, I’m off to celebrate with some of my closest friends, you can bet there’ll be pictures next week!
